The Rapid Creek Culvert Replacement Project will move forward

During their Nov. 18 public hearing, the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved a $829,675 contract with Wiseland Construction, LLC to complete the MM-39.45-H.75 Rapid Creek Culvert Replacement Project. 

This project focuses on replacing the existing MM-39.45-H.75 culvert on Rapid Creek Road because the aging structure is the sole access past this culvert to the Ute Water Treatment Plant and surrounding properties, making its replacement critical to the safe supply of water to Mesa County. 

The project will widen and straighten the pavement over the new culvert so trucks can safely travel across the culvert without impeding opposing traffic.
