Software implementation agreement approved for Assessor's and Treasurer’s Offices
The Mesa County Assessor’s Office and Treasurer’s Office will soon see improved efficiencies after the Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved an agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc. for software update solutions for both offices totaling $643,750 plus a $180,000 annual fee. The agreement was approved during the March 25 administrative public hearing.
The implementation of the Enterprise Assessment & Tax software will provide a Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) solution for the Mesa County Assessor’s Office and a Tax Collection and Distribution System for the Treasurer’s Office. Both offices are currently running on systems that were implemented in 2008 and are requiring updates to provide more consistent data and services to our community.
“One of the advantages of this new system is going to be reliability in our online search function,” said Mesa County Assessor Brent Goff.
The benefits of having both offices on this same system include:
- Vast cost savings on implementation
- Shared databases for improved efficiency and accuracy
- The elimination of several manual processes
- Enhanced automation and integrations with the existing systems
- Streamlining workflow
“If somebody just wants to add their email address to our account, it has to be done manually in the Assessor's Office and manually in the Treasurer's Office,” said Mesa County Treasurer Sheila Reiner. “So, just that instance alone speaks to the efficiencies that can be gained by being on the same platform with different user roles.”
