Road and Bridge moves forward on project to expand building and improve efficiency

Mesa County approved a contract with BOA Builders, LLC for the Mesa County Fruita Road and Bridge Building A Addition Project in the amount of $366,095 during their Oct. 7 public hearing. 

This project is part of an ongoing effort to consolidate all District A Road and Bridge operations into one facility. Currently, only eight of the district’s 23 road crew members are based at the 916 19 ½ Road, Fruita Road and Bridge shop.

By expanding the existing facility, the County aims to bring the full crew together under one roof. This consolidation will improve efficiency, enhance communication, and extend the service life of Road and Bridge equipment by better utilizing the infrastructure at both locations.
