Crack sealing project begins Jan. 5 in Clifton and Fruitvale
Mesa County, in coordination with Valley Pavement Maintenance, will begin a crack sealing project Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, on neighborhood streets located generally between F 1/2 Road and Patterson Road and between 30 Road and 32 Road. The work is part of the County’s ongoing pavement maintenance program to preserve roadways and extend surface life.

Colorado Supreme Court Declines to Review New Trial Order in 1990s Pipe Bomb Murder Case
The Colorado Supreme Court has declined to hear the appeal of prosecutors seeking to overturn a ruling that granted a new trial to James Genrich, a man convicted of two murders in a series of pipe bombings that terrorized Mesa County between 1989 and 1991.
