Public meeting on Jan. 16 to discuss Ordinance 16

Residents, you are invited to attend an informal public meeting in person or via Zoom to discuss Ordinance 16, a proposed ordinance restricting travel in designated Mesa County areas by certain vehicles, on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Old Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave. in Grand Junction.  

This ordinance aims to create a restriction on the travel of trucks and trailers on certain county roads to reduce traffic and strain from local roadways and protect pedestrians, travelers, and homeowners from increased hazards on the road near the Loma port of entry in Mesa County. 

The Commissioners welcome your insights, questions, and suggestions at the public meeting before the potential adoption.
