Stage 1 Fire Restrictions enacted

Effective beginning 12:01 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, until further notice. These restrictions apply to all private land and BLM managed public lands within the boundaries of the Grand Junction Field Office. For more information visit the Fire Restrictions webpage.

The Board of Mesa County Commissioners unanimously approved the Public Works Department to place a $314,721 purchase order for 16,200 gallons of white paint and 11,700 gallons of yellow paint for the 2025 striping season at their March 11 public hearing

Our Traffic Department plans to retrace every Mesa County striped road this year, including 400 road miles. 

Clearly marked roads help prevent crashes, reduce congestion, and keep traffic flowing smoothly. This investment ensures safe and reliable travel for everyone in our community.
