Looking to bring a pet into your home? Mesa County Animal Services is offering reduced adoption fees for a limited time to help more animals find permanent homes.

From April 30 through May 3, adoption fees will be $60 for all pets.

This effort supports National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day on April 30 and helps reduce the number of animals currently in the shelter.

What to know

  • When: April 30 through May 3
  • Cost: $60 adoption fee
  • Where: Mesa County Animal Services, 971 Coffman Road, Building B
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Adopting a shelter pet gives an animal a second chance and opens space for others in need of care. Many of these animals are ready to go home today.

Not ready to adopt? There are still ways to help. Residents can volunteer their time or donate to support the shelter and the animals it serves.
