Headed out of the house with your dog? Remember their leash to keep good habits and follow the law.

Mesa County leash laws require dogs to be on a leash no longer than 10 feet in all City and County public areas and parks unless you’re in a designated off-leash space.

Why leash up?

  • Avoid fines and tickets.
  • Keep everyone safe — two-legged and four-legged.
  • Protect our parks and preserve their beauty for all.
  • Foster a welcoming and responsible community.

Enjoy all the beautiful outdoor space Mesa County offers while keeping our community safe and shared spaces enjoyable for everyone!
