Your old newspapers can help animals in need
After you’ve finished reading your newspaper, it can serve another important purpose — providing comfort and cleanliness for animals at Mesa County Animal Services, 971A Coffman Road. Your newspaper donations help improve the lives of local shelter animals.
“Before you throw away a newspaper, please remember it can help fill a big need at the shelter,” Animal Services Manager Doug Frye said. “Anyone willing to donate old newspapers can drop them off at our office. We are open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.”
Animal Services is constantly trying to meet the ongoing demand for papers to line crates and catch waste from puppies who still need to learn good potty habits. Your old newspaper is exactly what the animals need to feel clean and cared for during their stay at the shelter.
Mesa County Animal Services appreciates your continued support in caring for the animals of Mesa County.
