Behavioral Health applies for grant funding to support MAC program
At the commissioners’ Sept. 24 regular public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners unanimously approved Mesa County Behavioral Health to apply for the $450,000 Pioneering Ideas: Building a Culture of Health Grant.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is offering this grant to help build a better, more equitable future in which everyone in the United States has a fair and just opportunity to live the healthiest life possible.
If awarded, the grant funding will be used by Behavioral Health’s Multi-Agency Collaboration (MAC) team in 2025 to continue providing our community with county-based case management services through local agencies.
Mesa County is grateful for the opportunity to apply for grants like the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Pioneering Ideas: Building a Culture of Health Grant. These funds are vital for ensuring the continued success of our case management services, which foster critical collaboration among local hospitals, law enforcement, and the Mesa County Detention Facility. Grant funds will allow us to better support individuals who frequently cycle through crisis services while maintaining room in our budget for other essential Behavioral Health priorities.
