Mesa County is excited to introduce the new Ballot Verifier, a feature designed to make it easier for voters to access past election results and view cast ballots. This new tool ensures transparency and accountability in the voting system, giving voters peace of mind that their votes are accurately counted and recorded.

The Ballot Verifier offers a user-friendly interface that allows anyone to view and verify cast ballots. Members of the public can now access election data directly from the 2023 Coordinated Election, 2024 Presidential Primary Election, June 2024 Primary Election, and 2024 Presidential General Election without needing to submit a formal public records request to the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.

“Previously, obtaining such information required waiting several days and paying a fee,” said Bobbie Gross, Mesa County Clerk Recorder. “Now, voters can view, download, and even run their own ‘citizen count’ anytime, right from the tool.”

“This new feature marks a significant step forward in bringing greater transparency to the election process and ensures that Mesa County’s elections are open to scrutiny and verification,” added Gross. “The tool effectively serves as a third-party audit, allowing anyone to cross-check the recorded ballot counts against the official results. This is a step forward in providing the people with their records and bringing even more transparency into our elections.”
