Daniel Voted New Chair
During the Board of Mesa County Commissioners’ administrative hearing on Dec. 19, 2023, the Board unanimously voted Commissioner Bobbie Daniel as the 2024 Chair of the Board. Daniel succeeds Commissioner Janet Rowland, who served as Chair in 2023.
“As we step into a new year, I am honored to accept the role of Chair of the Mesa County Board of Commissioners for 2024,” said Bobbie Daniel, Chair of the Board of Mesa County Commissioners. “I am grateful for this opportunity to serve alongside my colleagues, and I am eager to carry forward the dedicated service exemplified by my predecessor, Commissioner Rowland.”
The chairmanship of the Board is typically assigned on a rotating basis to different members at the start of each year. The Chair presides at all meetings and signs all county orders. By law, this official has the right and the duty to vote on all questions before the Board unless excused by a standing rule of the Board or other Board members’ consent.
