The De Beque Community Center is officially open
On Saturday, June 28, 2024, Mesa County and De Beque officials gathered with community members to cut the ribbon of the De Beque Community Center. Located at 305 E. Fourth St., this 7,400-square-foot versatile space will accommodate various activities and events tailored to the community’s needs and interests.
The goal of the De Beque Community Center is to provide the residents with a multi-use hub. Whether it's gatherings, educational programs, social events, or recreational activities, the center will serve as a central venue for fostering connections and strengthening community.
People can now make use of the Community Center’s full gym, industrial kitchen, meeting room, outdoor pavilion, outdoor playground, and parking lot for anything from weddings to trade shows.
This facility’s completion was made possible by the current Board of Mesa County Commissioners: Cody Davis, Bobbie Daniel, and Janet Rowland and former U.S. Congressman and Mesa County Commissioner Scott McInnis, whose mission has been to honor a 1981 obligation to residents to provide everyone in the County with dedicated community spaces.
