County Invites Community Feedback on Mesa Together Master Plan Draft
Mesa County is a diverse region comprising diverse communities, public lands, and agricultural areas. It is undergoing rapid changes due to the growth of recreation and tourism industries, a rising population, and a diversifying economy. To prepare for the future and address these changes, Mesa County is pleased to announce the release of the Mesa Together Master Plan draft.
The Mesa Together Master Plan is a community-driven plan that integrates multiple plan elements, such as economic development, land use, transportation, and recreation, to provide a 10-year strategic vision that will guide policy and decision-making for the future. The Master Plan aims to strike a balance between the growth and preservation of the landscape, a sense of community, history, and culture.
The plan was created through a transparent and inclusive process involving community members. As a dynamic document, it will be regularly updated to adapt to the changing conditions of the County.
All community members are invited to review the draft plan and share their input and thoughts at mesatogether.com. To gather feedback, the County has organized open houses on April 27 and May 2 at 200 S. Spruce St, Conference Room 40. The open houses will be held all day, with presentations at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 6 p.m.
The Mesa Together Master Plan is intended to assist the community in planning and preparing for the future and establishing a vibrant and thriving County.
Mesa County is eager to continue collaborating with the community to ensure the plan is successfully implemented.
