Adoption training opportunities through MCDHS
Are you considering adoption or looking for resources to support your journey? Mesa County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) is hosting a series of adoption training sessions to provide guidance, expert insights and community support.
Training schedule:
Session #1: 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4th (virtual)
Join the MCDHS Adoption Team for an overview of the adoption process, FAQs and what to expect along the way.
Session #2: 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18th (virtual)
- Hear from the MCDHS Therapy Team, featuring:
- Bryan Conklin on attachment and family systems
- Domenica Steele on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
Session #3: 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2nd (in-person & virtual)
Meet in the MCDHS Room 1060 for this final session on family empowerment, post-adoption support and valuable resources for adoptive families.
