Individuals are invited to participate in the Free Virtual Senior Law Series this spring. This virtual series is designed to help older adults, caregivers and family members better understand common legal issues that can arise later in life. All sessions are free to attend and will be held online from 10 to 11 a.m.

“The Area Agency on Aging of Northwest Colorado has worked with Colorado Legal Services for many years to make sure older adults have access to clear, reliable legal information,” said Northwest Region Director Heather Jones. “This series helps older adults and caregivers understand their options and make informed decisions.”

Whether you’re navigating estate planning, guardianship, tenant rights or other key legal matters, these sessions are designed to give you knowledge and confidence to handle them. Join us for one or all of the classes!

The series will cover the following topics and dates:

  • Feb. 27: Long Term Care Planning and Medicaid Basics
  • March 6: Wills and Trusts
  • March 13: SSI and SSDI
  • March 27: Medical Debt
  • April 10: What You Need to Know When Someone Dies
  • April 17: Important Issues in Colorado Foreclosure Law
