Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program) is a health care benefit program for residents who meet income and resource eligibility guidelines established by the State of Colorado and the federal government.

Colorado Medicaid pays for most health care services including, but not limited to:

  • Inpatient and outpatient hospitalization
  • Physician services
  • Family planning
  • Immunizations
  • Transportation to medical services
  • Community mental health services

Those eligible for Medicaid will receive a Medicaid Authorization Card (MAC) in the mail. 

Clients can be assessed quickly by filling out a Medicaid application through the PEAK website. Medicaid cards can also be printed via the PEAK website.

Applications are also available for download at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing website. Clients may call Health First Colorado Enrollment at 1-88-367-6557 or the customer service line at 1-800-221-3943 for assistance.
