After months of anticipation and valuable community engagement, Mesa County proudly announces the grand opening of the newly renovated Long Family Memorial Park Skatepark, 3118 E ½ Road. The park has undergone a $249,900 transformation into a state-of-the-art skateboarding haven tailored to our residents and skaters' ideas and feedback.

Our commitment to incorporating public suggestions has been a cornerstone of this project. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed through our online survey and the community input meeting on July 10. Your voices have been instrumental in shaping the skatepark's design, ensuring it meets the needs and aspirations of skaters across all skill levels.

This investment goes beyond mere upgrades — it's a complete overhaul focused on safety, engagement, and the pure joy of skateboarding. Every feature has been crafted to support fun and skill development, allowing skaters to perform every flip and grind safely.

The project, which began in late summer, is now complete. We're thrilled to invite skaters to lace up their shoes, grab their boards, and revel in the thrills that await in your very own dream-designed skatepark.

Join us as we celebrate the fruition of our collective vision and the opening of a facility that is truly by the community, for the community.
