Three-minute survey to help determine priority projects in County
Our community members are experts in knowing what’s needed to improve quality of life in Mesa County. Projects related to the recent Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) results are taking shape. The survey is a way to include the community’s voice and unique perspective.
“The community feedback we get from this survey will direct the work for several organizations for the next two to three years,” said Shae Lynn Watt, who managed the CHNA project.
The survey results will be factored into the project selection process along with the input of each participating organization.
All adults age 18 and over who live in Mesa County can take the survey. It will be available until September 22, 2024. The survey is anonymous. Take the digital survey on the Mesa County Public Health survey site.
Background
Every three years, health focused organizations in Mesa County create a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to understand the factors that impact health decisions for Mesa County residents. These organizations include:
- Mesa County Public Health
- St. Mary’s Hospital
- Community Hospital
- Monument Health
- Family Health West Hospital
- MarillacHealth
The 2024 CHNA identified eight areas of action for these organizations and their community partners to focus on. Most organizations will choose one to four priority areas and work together to design effective programs to improve the overall health of our community.
