Access to clean, safe water plays a vital role every day for everyone in our community. Mesa County Public Health is celebrating Drinking Water Week by highlighting the work of our Regional Lab. Our team works hard to ensure the water we drink is safe.

“Safe and clean water is a key factor that contributes to the overall health and wellness of our residents,” said Lab Supervisor Michelle Colon. “Our water quality program provides bacterial testing for drinking water and irrigation water samples.”

Our Regional Lab is certified through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Homeowners with private wells can have their water tested as well. In 2023, we processed 3,800 water samples.

We offer water testing in our Regional Lab Monday through Thursday. Visit our website for more information about the services we provide.
