New partnership expands childcare access in Mesa County

Mesa County Partnership for Children and Families (MCPCF) is partnering with Centro de la Familia (Centro) to expand childcare access for local families. All seven local Centro sites are now available on BridgeCare, which is a user-friendly, web-based database that directly connects families with regional childcare providers.

The expansion adds hundreds of childcare seats to the BridgeCare network. It also marks the first time families can view real-time Head Start program information in one centralized location.

"The addition of Centro is a huge win for our community," said Stephanie Bivins, MCPCF Director. "When children gain access to quality early learning and care, parents and caregivers get the support they need to pursue careers and strengthen their family's financial future.”

To prepare for the launch, the MCPCF team has been conducting site visits across all seven Centro locations. They have been gathering program details, verifying capacity, and streamlining the onboarding process.

Families can search Bridgecare for childcare openings at Centro or other locations.
