Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory for Monday, March 30, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. due to fire danger concerns. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

Progress on E Road Phase 2B Construction

Progress is moving forward on the E Road Phase 2B Construction Project. The majority of the structural work on the bridge is complete, and the construction crew is focusing on the E Road and 31 Road intersection improvements. 

Work on the bridge has included the construction of bridge abutments, the concrete structures providing a foundation to build the bridge, the placement of shotcrete lining in the water around the bridge to help prevent erosion, and the bridge deck itself. 

Construction Schedule: Work is scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with the project expected to reach completion in summer 2024.

Traffic Notices: The intersection of 31 Road and E Road is closed entirely. Detour routes are clearly marked. Traffic patterns, including detours and road closures, are subject to modification as construction progresses.
