Scenic Drive Drainage Improvements Project

Beginning July 17, 2023, Mesa County and Sorter Construction, INC. will implement road improvements on W. Scenic Dr. The project consists of the installation of drainage improvements, including channels, storm drain, area inlet, and riprap from Scenic Elementary to the north side of the driveway at 473 ½ and 475 W. Scenic Drive.

Project Schedule and Information

The project will be in operation Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The anticipated completion date is late August 2023. The contractor chosen for this project is Sorter Construction, INC.  

Travel & Other Impacts 

Vehicles may be reduced to a single lane, throughout the duration of the project. These lane closures may have up to 10-minute delays.

Please be advised that traffic detours, closings, and openings may change as the project progresses.
