Mesa G.8-39.1 Bridge Rehabilitation Project

On Aug. 28, 2023, Mesa County and KSK, LLC will begin repairs on the North River Road bridge at Highway 6 in Palisade.

Project Overview 

The Mesa G.8-39.1 Bridge Rehabilitation Project consists of the rehabilitation of the existing bridge on North River Road over the Colorado River east of Palisade. Work includes concrete deck repairs, painting, bridge railing replacement, asphalt removal, resurfacing, and replacement of guardrails. 

Project Schedule and Information 

The project will operate Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Project start date: Aug. 28, 2023

Anticipated completion date: Sept. 15, 2023

Travel & Other Impacts

Beginning Aug. 28, 2023, North River Road will close to traffic at the bridge. Local access will be provided west of the bridge on the marked detour through Palisade (see attached map).
