During the Oct. 29 public hearing, the Mesa County Commissioners approved a $145,600 contract with CML Security to replace three sliding doors in the Mesa County Detention Facility, as an investment in the safety and longevity of our facilities. These doors, originally installed in 1991, were the last of their kind in the building.

We are updating the aging doors now to stay proactive, save money on potential larger repairs down the line, and ensure the safety and integrity of our facilities for staff, residents, and our community.

Regular maintenance of public facilities is part of our commitment to a well-maintained, secure Mesa County. Staying ahead of aging infrastructure helps us keep public spaces safe, efficient, and ready for the future.
