Mesa County Fairgrounds Manager, Kyle Carstens, gives a departmental presentation and overview, focusing on the Fairground’s events and accomplishments throughout 2023 and its plans on the horizon for 2024.

Following the Compost Facility Expansion and Rate Assessment Contract approval, the commissioners approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mesa County and the City of Grand Junction, in which each entity will pay 50% of the $139,185 Rate Assessment to evaluate the feasibility of expanding the Mesa County Organic Materials Composting Facility to widen its range of compostable items.

Mesa County has signed a ​$697,376.30 contract to enhance roads in the Independence Valley​ subdivision and Orchard Mesa.

In a public hearing held on April 9, the Mesa County Department of Human Services (DHS) announced the availability of $350,000 in grant opportunities through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program for the Community Investment Program.
