Rebuilding after a Declared Wildfire Disaster Tax Refund

Effective May 12, 2023, the Sales Use Tax Exemption Wildfire Disaster Construction Act (HB23-1240) initiates a refundable exemption for the state sales and use tax paid for construction and building materials used directly in rebuilding or repairing a qualified homeowner's qualified residential structure due to a declared wildfire disaster between Jan. 1, 2020, and Dec. 31, 2022.

Second Annual Foster Pet Challenge

Mesa County and Roice-Hurst Humane Society are excited to announce their partnership for the second consecutive year to launch the Foster Pet Challenge. This joint initiative aims to inspire the community to open their hearts and homes to temporarily foster pets, providing them care and comfort while they await adoptive homes. The campaign's ambitious goal is to find 100 new foster families in just 100 days, from June 20 through September 28, 2023.
