Animal Law Enforcement
All animal enforcement response is handled by the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and each municipalities' police departments. To make a report or if you have found an animal, contact non emergency dispatch at 970-242-6707 for all jurisdictions within Mesa County. Below are the links to each agency websites:

- Colorado Revised Statute 25-4-603 requires all animal bites be reported. If a bite has occurred, please contact non-emergency dispatch to make a report 970-242-6707.
For any issues regarding wildlife, please contact the Colorado Department of Wildlife at 970-255-6100.
If you are bitten by a wild animal, please contact the Mesa County Health Department at 970-254-4120.
