No Burn Advisory

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory for Monday, March 30, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. due to fire danger concerns. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period. Check conditions on our Air Quality webpage.

Find out if the Clifton Clean-Up is coming to you

During the July 2 administrative public hearing, Mesa County Commissioners unanimously approved a contract for $82,238 for the 2024 Clifton Clean-up, slated to happen mid-September. The project area is 32 Road to 33 Road and D Road to I-70. Eligible residents will be notified directly with specific dates and instructions.

Work to begin on Independence Valley asphalt crack repairs

Work to improve the Independence Valley subdivision road network will begin on July 9, 2024, north of the subdivision and move south toward Highway 340. Please use caution, slow down, and look out for personnel near the construction zone. Traffic will continue as usual.
