The justice system in Mesa County is still dealing with effects from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office's recently-published data dashboard showed some lingering effects on cases that will hopefully change, District Attorney Dan Rubinstein said.

This Barbie needs a foster dream house
Join the Foster Pet Challenge! The challenge is a joint initiative between Mesa County and Roice-Hurst Humane Society to inspire the community to open their hearts and homes to foster pets. The campaign's ambitious goal is to find 100 new foster families in 100 days, from June 20 through Sept. 28, 2023.

A Grand Junction man sentenced to 204 years on 27 counts of sexual assault on two children lost a third appeal to have that sentenced reduced, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday.
