About the Mesa County Sheriff's Office
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office is the largest Sheriff’s Office in Colorado, west of the Continental Divide. It is located in Grand Junction, Colorado, the largest metropolitan city between Denver and Salt Lake City. The agency employs more than 270 dedicated professionals who provide services to rural and densely populated urban areas.
The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office patrols, responds to emergencies and fights wildland fires in an area encompassing more than 3,300 square miles. Along with providing security at the courthouse, the Sheriff's Office runs the Mesa County Detention Facility.
We are an innovative agency striving to better the community and find creative ways to manage increasing crime rates and jail populations.
