Sheriff Todd Rowell and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office are actively recruiting community members interested in volunteering to help their community and the Sheriff's Office.
Volunteer with one of these specialized volunteer programs
Citizens on Patrol (COP)
Specialized group of volunteers who assist with patrol duties, special events, large incidents, and any other duties as requested by the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
Internships
We offer unpaid internships during the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Interested in a position?
Jail Ministry
A non-profit organization separate from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office that serves the inmate population in the Detention Facility.

The Sheriff’s Office is always looking for administrative volunteers
Work includes
- Filing of fingerprint cards.
- Checking documents for accuracy.
- Scan documents into a system database.
- Assisting with special projects such as updating databases, gathering data, updating website information, and re-organizing areas.
