The Juvenile Diversion Program, offered by the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s (DA) Office, serves as a proactive and restorative alternative to traditional prosecution for eligible youth in Mesa County. While the DA’s Office oversees all juvenile cases in the County, its approach is rooted in supporting positive youth development and prioritizing the best interests of the child.

Artificial intelligence pilot project approved for Community Development Department
During the Board of Mesa County Commissioners’ June 24 public hearing, they approved participation in the Local Planning Capacity Grant Program to implement an Artificial Intelligence (AI) pilot initiative to improve efficiency and accuracy in permit application intake and review processes, streamline workflows, and reduce turnaround times for the Community Development Department.
