On this Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, we honor the brave men and women from Mesa County and across the nation who gave their lives in service to our country.

This afternoon, Mesa County employees gathered in front of the Department of Human Services (MCDHS) and the Workforce Center (MCWFC) to honor Memorial Day with a flag planting ceremony led by our Veterans Service Officer team.

Many department directors and leaders within Mesa County have come together this month to begin the first stage of developing Mesa County’s updated strategic plan.

Mesa County Public Health has issued a No Burn Advisory effective 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22 until further notice due to strong winds and dry conditions.

This year, the Mesa County Commissioners have traveled throughout the county, collaborating on town halls with different city and town leaders — listening to residents to help problem-solve challenges they may be facing in their communities, providing updates on what our local governments are working on and fostering open communication between residents and local leaders.

Thousands of tax notices are returned to Mesa County as undeliverable every year. That means many residents could miss important deadlines​​ or face penalties​ (late fees, instead?)​ simply because their mailing address wasn’t updated.
