Transfer Facilities
Grand Valley Transit (GVT) passes are sold at the Downtown and West Transfer Facilities. Offices may close after the last bus departure from the transfer facility.
The Office and GVT service is closed on the following holidays:
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

Employment opportunities
Applications for drivers are taken on an ongoing basis.
Please call 970-256-7433 for information or apply online through MV Transportation and search for Grand Junction.
Drivers are required to have a Commercial Driver's license (CDL), however paid training is provided in order to obtain it. You must be at least 21 years of age.

Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee (GVRTC)
Grand Valley Transit is funded with federal funds as well as local funds from our funding partners- Mesa County, City of Grand Junction, City of Fruita and Town of Palisade. The Grand Valley Regional Transportation Committee (GVRTC) is the governing board over Grand Valley Transit and includes representatives from each funding partner. Regional Transportation Planning Office (RTPO)
GVT, the Mesa County Transportation Planning Region and the Grand Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization are transportation policy-making organizations led by the GVRTC and housed at the Regional Transportation Planning Office(RTPO). The MPO planning mandates used for transportation planning in the urban area is loosely defined as Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, and the urban portions of unincorporated Mesa County.
