Judicial district still dealing with COVID effects

The justice system in Mesa County is still dealing with effects from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office's recently-published data dashboard showed some lingering effects on cases that will hopefully change, District Attorney Dan Rubinstein said.

Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross and the Elections team invite you to join them at an open house event at the Elections Office, 200 S. Spruce St., on Saturday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon to engage with your local government and receive information on the upcoming election.

A Grand Junction man sentenced to 204 years on 27 counts of sexual assault on two children lost a third appeal to have that sentenced reduced, the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled Thursday.
