Student Pass Program
Program description
- This program is a partnership between Mesa County Regional Transportation Planning Office (RTPO), Grand Valley Transit (GVT), and the Mesa County Workforce Center.
- The program is available to District 51 students in Middle School and High School.
- GVT Free Ride Stickers are valid from August 1, 2026 - August 31, 2027.
- The Student Bus Pass Program is only valid for GVT Fixed Route.
- Parents are required to complete the form to determine the funding source. Students will receive a free pass regardless of whether or not the family qualifies for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funding.
How to acquire a Student Pass

Students/Parents: Visit one of the pass pick-up locations listed below to pick up a sticker for your student ID.

Students: Ride GVT for free by showing bus operators your student ID with the GVT sticker.
When and where to pick up passes
Passes will be available for pickup starting August 3, 2026.
