Mesa County Animal Services transitions to a separate enforcement and services model
Mesa County is implementing significant changes to its animal services operations to improve animal welfare and enhance public safety. Starting Jan. 1, 2025, Animal Services will operate under a separate enforcement and services model, a shift in how animal-related responsibilities are managed within Mesa County.

Community Services campus emergency generator approved
At the Aug. 19 public hearing, the Board of County Commissioners approved a $134,000 contract to install an emergency generator at the Mesa County Community Services Campus, 510 29 ½ Road, home to three of the County’s key service providers. This means that in the event of a power outage, Mesa County Public Health, Department of Human Services, and Workforce Center will continue to serve you without interruption.
